MULTISENSORIALITY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION:
My body exploring a world offlavours, textures and aromas

We believe in the importance of the experiences of babies and very young children in their constitution as subjects who learn by coming into contact with the world and the wonders that the (natural) environment makes possible. The aim is to analyze how babies and very young children explore and experiment with textures and sensations, expanding their capacity for expression. Using an experience report as the research narrative technique, we present a discussion based on our practice as early childhood education teachers, in which we work with one-year-old children. We will highlight how children come into contact with the most diverse materials and provocative spaces in the most varied explorations, awakening significant and pleasurable discoveries, transforming a passive education into an education of children who build, dream, research, play, live everyday experiences and learn from them. We conclude that it is important to promote research and experiences with children, providing materials and spaces that provoke, instigate, discover and challenge, making the teacher a protagonist.
