Resumen

En el escenario tecnológico contemporáneo, las comunidades de software libre han jugado un papel crucial al destacar plataformas que buscan ofrecer soluciones educativas de código abierto para instituciones de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Sin embargo, el éxito y la sostenibilidad de las comunidades dependen en gran medida del compromiso de sus miembros, así como de las estrategias adoptadas para promover la colaboración y la participación continua. Ante esto, el objetivo de este estudio es describir la experiencia vivida en el contexto de la comunidad Openredu.org como entorno para la realización de investigación, innovación y colaboración en el desarrollo de proyectos educativos. Para ello, fue necesario participar activamente en las estrategias utilizadas para involucrar a los miembros voluntarios de la comunidad. Además, desarrollar enfoques tecnológicos, actividades de investigación, mapeo de estrategias, características de gobernanza y experiencias que acerquen a los miembros a la misión, visión y valores del proyecto. Los resultados destacan la experiencia de compromiso de los miembros, motivados por la colaboración, el aprendizaje y el reconocimiento del papel del liderazgo en la organización y facilitación del proceso de toma de decisiones. Se concluye que es necesario afrontar constantemente desafíos financieros y humanos para mejorar el proyecto.
